1. Introduction

Welcome to Builto ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website https://builto.com and use our application, including our Planner and Website Builder tools.

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal personal information necessary to provide our Services. The types of information we collect include:

A. Personal Data via Google Authentication

When you register or log in using your Google Account, we receive the following information:

  • Name: Used to personalize your user profile.
  • Email Address: Used for account identification and essential communication.
  • Avatar (Profile Picture): Displayed on your user profile.

Note: We do not collect or store your passwords. Authentication is securely managed by Google.

3. Google Calendar Integration Data

Our Planner module offers integration with Google Calendar. We heavily prioritize your privacy in this integration:

  • Client-Side Operation: All interactions with your Google Calendar (fetching events, creating new events, updating schedules) occur strictly within your browser (client-side).
  • No Server Storage: Builto does not transmit, process, or store your Google Calendar data on our backend servers. Your calendar data remains between your browser and Google.
  • Direct API Access: The application communicates directly with Google's APIs using your secure credentials token, ensuring we never have physical access to your calendar entries.

4. Payment Information

We use Stripe for payment processing and subscription management.

  • We do not store or collect your payment card details (such as credit card numbers, expiration dates, or CVVs).
  • That information is provided directly to Stripe, whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our Service.
  • Manage your registered account.
  • Process your payments and subscription orders.
  • Communicate with you, including for customer service and updates.
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent or illegal activities.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information with third parties for their promotional purposes. We may share information only in the following situations:

  • Service Providers: We may share data with third-party vendors (like Stripe for payments) who perform services for us.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.

7. Data Security

We are committed to securing your data. We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. Despite these safeguards, please remember that no transmission over the internet is 100% secure. However, by minimizing the data we store and using client-side processing for sensitive integrations, we significantly reduce risk.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to access or store information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email provided below.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
